Submission

Submission to this journal proceeds by Electronic Mailing to jrms@srbiau.ac.ir.

The authors should send the followings to complete the submission process:

1- Cover letter

Each paper should include a cover letter, which must be saved as a separate document. This cover page must contain the following hints:

1-1- The letter should be included the confirmation of first time submission of current manuscripts by authors.

1-2- The authors confirm that the manuscript has not been submitted in other journals yet.

1-3- Another requirement is reviewer suggestion. Please write the names, addresses and e-mail addresses of 3 potential referees for reviewing your paper.

2- The original manuscript

The authors should send the manuscripts both in .DOC (maximum size: 7MB) and .PDF extension format.

Manuscript Style

Type double−spaced, and submit the original manuscript in word 2007 format (Times new Roman). The number of pages should be maximum 12 pages and the size of manuscript shouldn’t exceed more than 7 megabyte (7MB)

Title Page

Titles are often used in information-retrieval systems. Avoid abbreviations and formulae where possible. A title page is to be provided and should include

  • the title of the article
  • author’s name (no degrees)
  • author’s affiliation
  • and suggested running head

The affiliation should comprise

  • Department
  • Institution (usually university or company)
  • City
  • and State (or Nation)

and should be typed as a footnote to the author’s name. The suggested running head should be less than 80 characters (including spaces) and should comprise the article title or an abbreviated version thereof.

For office purposes, the title page should include the complete mailing address and telephone number of the one author designated to review proofs.

Corresponding author

Clearly indicate who will handle correspondence at all stages of refereeing and publication, also post-publication. Ensure that telephone and fax numbers (with country and area code) are provided in addition to the e-mail address and the complete postal address. Contact details must be kept up to date by the corresponding author.

 Abstract

  • An abstract is to be provided, preferably no longer than 200 words.

A concise and factual abstract is required. The abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research, the principal results and major conclusions. An abstract is often presented separately from the article, so it must be able to stand alone. For this reason, References should be avoided, but if essential, then cite the author(s) and year(s). Also, non-standard or uncommon abbreviations should be avoided, but if essential they must be defined at their first mention in the abstract itself.

Key Words

  • A list of 4 to 5 key words is to be provided directly below the abstract. Key words should express the precise content of the manuscript, as they are used for indexing purposes.

Sections

  • All sections should be numbered with Arabic numerals (for example
  • 1. INTRODUCTION), typed flush left. Subsections should be identified with section and subsection numbers (such as 6.1. Second−Value Subheading).

Mathematical Notation

  • Mathematical notation and equations should be typewritten wherever possible. If handwritten notation must be used, it should be clear and legible, with any necessary explanatory notes located in the margin. Equations should be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals in parentheses placed flush right, and should be thusly referred to in the text [such as Eqs. (2) and (6)].

References

List references numerically at the end of the paper. Use the appropriate Arabic numeral in square brackets on the baseline for citation in the text. Where there are three or more authors, only the first author’s name is given in the text, followed by et al.

References should include (in this order):

  • initials and last names of all authors
  • name of publication
  • volume number
  • inclusive pages
  • and year published

The style and punctuation of the references should conform to that used in the journal −− illustrated by the following examples:

  • Journal Article

1. R. J. Buss, P. Ho, and M. E. Weber, Plasma Chem. Plasma Process. 13, 61−−76 (1993).

  • Book

2. I. J. McColm, Ceramic Hardness (Plenum Press, New York, 1990).

  • Contribution to a Book

3. R. M. German, in Science of Sintering: New Directions for Materials Processing and Microstructural Control, D. P. Uskokovic, H. Palmour III, and R. M. Spriggs, eds. (Plenum Press, New York, 1989) pp. 439−−451.

Footnotes

Footnotes should be used sparingly. Number them consecutively throughout the article, using superscript Arabic numbers. Many wordprocessors build footnotes into the text, and this feature may be used. Should this not be the case, indicate the position of footnotes in the text and present the footnotes themselves separately at the end of the article. Do not include footnotes in the Reference list.

Table footnotes

Indicate each footnote in a table with a superscript lowercase letter.

SI Units

  • SI units should be used; if other units are employed, they should follow the SI units and be enclosed in parentheses. Abbreviations should also be spelled out in full on first appearance.

Figures and tables

Illustrations

  • Illustrations (photographs, drawings, diagrams, and charts) are to be numbered in one consecutive series of Arabic numerals. The captions for illustrations should be typed on a separate sheet of paper. All illustrations must be complete and final, i.e., camera−ready. Photographs should be large, glossy prints, showing high contrast. Drawings should be prepared with india ink. Either original drawings or good−quality photographic prints are acceptable. Identify figures on the back with author’s name and number of the illustration. Reproduction of illustrations in color is possible by special arrangement, with the total cost, which is significant, borne by the author.

Tables

  • Tables should be numbered (with Roman numerals) and referred to by number in the text. Each table should be typed on a separate sheet of paper.

Submission of Accepted Manuscripts

After a manuscript has been accepted for publication and after all revisions have been incorporated, manuscripts should be submitted to the Editor’s Office as hard copy accompanied by electronic files on disk. Label the disk with identifying information −− software, journal name, and first authors’ last name. The disk must be the one from which the accompanying manuscript (finalized version) was printed out. The Editor’s Office cannot accept a disk without its accompanying, matching hard−copy manuscript.

Page Charges

The journal makes no page charges. Reprints are available to authors, and order forms with the current price schedule are sent with proofs.

Permissions

Authors wishing to include figures, tables, or text passages that have already been published elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the copyright owner(s) for both the print and online format and to include evidence that such permission has been granted when submitting their papers. Any material received without such evidence will be assumed to originate from the authors.

Copyright information

Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been published before (except in form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture, review or thesis); that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere; that its publication has been approved by all co-authors, if any, as well as - tacitly or explicitly - by the responsible authorities at the institution where the work was carried out. The author warrants that his/her contribution is original and that he/she has full power to make this grant. The author signs for and accepts responsibility for releasing this material on behalf of any and all co-authors. Transfer of copyright to Springer (respective to owner if other than Springer) becomes effective if and when the article is accepted for publication. After submission of the Copyright Transfer Statement signed by the corresponding author, changes of authorship or in the order of the authors listed will not be accepted by Springer.
